Sister to Sister

I do not diminish myself to celebrate another woman.

I do not diminish another woman to celebrate myself.

I release comparison without surrendering discernment.

I honor another woman’s boundaries as I honor my own.

I recognize what is hers, what is mine, and what we may simply share.

Her light does not dim mine. Mine does not require the dimming of hers.

Another woman does not have to become smaller for you to remain whole, and neither do you have to become smaller to make room for her.

Sœur à Sœur — Sister to Sister is a Goddess Magick ritual oil created for healing and transforming the ways we relate to other women.

Our relationships with women can hold some of our greatest love, wisdom, inspiration, and belonging. They can also contain some of our earliest and deepest wounds.

A mother who criticized. A sister who competed. A friend who betrayed. A woman who excluded, copied, humiliated, envied, or undermined us. Those experiences can become templates we unknowingly carry into relationships with women who had nothing to do with the original wound.

Sœur à Sœur is created to examine those patterns without romanticizing sisterhood or abandoning discernment.

The goal is not to believe every woman is safe.

The goal is to learn to see other women clearly.

When the Wound Becomes the Lens

Some of our earliest understandings of womanhood begin with other women: mothers, grandmothers, sisters, caregivers, teachers, and friends.

A critical mother may make loving correction feel like attack. Betrayal may make new friendship feel dangerous. Competition may teach us to search for rivalry where there is none. Repeated disappointment can eventually become cynicism.

The wound begins whispering:

I already know how this ends.

Sœur à Sœur asks whether that voice is discernment or an old relationship attempting to write the ending of a new one.

This work is not about forcing forgiveness or reconciliation. It is about understanding what you have carried forward and consciously deciding what ends with you.

Sovereign Sisterhood

Sisterhood does not require blind loyalty, compulsory forgiveness, unlimited access, or gender-based exemption from accountability.

Grace does not require the absence of accountability.

You can support women and disagree with a woman. You can extend compassion while maintaining standards. You can receive genuine constructive criticism without assuming jealousy, while recognizing that not every opinion deserves your consideration.

And you can be generous without becoming endlessly accessible.

Help when you can. Encourage. Celebrate. Collaborate. Share what you genuinely wish to share.

And still understand:

A woman is allowed her mystery.

Your kindness does not obligate you to surrender every technique, source, recipe, beauty secret, creative process, spiritual practice, or piece of knowledge you have chosen to keep for yourself.

Visibility is not unrestricted access. Admiration does not create entitlement.

Healthy sisterhood respects another woman’s no without turning her boundary into rejection, arrogance, or hostility.

Your Shine Does Not Diminish Mine

Another woman’s beauty does not diminish yours. Her success does not predict your failure. Her talent does not invalidate yours.

And similarity does not automatically mean imitation.

During my years working in fashion, I had friends who were designers as well. Two of us could independently choose the exact same fabric and create completely different garments.

The fabric was the same. The artists were not.

We may share influences, aesthetics, professions, spiritual practices, goddesses, archetypes, or creative interests and express them completely differently.

Sometimes we are not rivals.

Sometimes we are simply women from the same school of thought.

Sœur à Sœur encourages the discernment to understand the difference between influence, shared taste, inspiration, and actual appropriation, and the self-awareness to examine our own ego before deciding which one we are witnessing.

Sometimes another woman loves what you love.

Sometimes a boundary really has been crossed.

Discernment allows you to know the difference and respond accordingly.

Don’t Feed What You Envy

There is a simple rule within my own Vampiric Sorcery practice:

Don’t be a hating ass bitch.

Jealousy, fixation, resentment, and obsessive comparison do not build you. Energetically, you are continually directing attention toward the very person you claim to dislike.

And when that person understands energetic protection, shielding, transmutation, or vampiric energy work?

You may simply be feeding her.

Instead, ask what the jealousy revealed.

What awakened something in you? What do you desire? What have you neglected within yourself?

Take the information and bring the energy home.

Develop your own style. Your own voice. Your own craft. Your own beauty. Your own work. Your own life.

Don’t feed what you envy. Feed yourself.
